What is Aerogel?

• An aerogel is a rigid foam, containing highly dispersed networks of nano-channels that exhibits a honeycomb-like morphology. 
• It is also known as “frozen smoke”, owing to its ultralight and translucent nature.
• Aerogel has the lowest thermal conductivity of any known solids.
• Our pore size ranges between 10nm to 50nm and porosity can reach up to 99.8%, resulting in an extremely low density material.
• Our specific surface area (BET) can reach as high as 1,000m2/g.

Why Use Aerogel?

• Low Thermal Conductivity：Aerogel’s insulation is 2-5 times better than traditional insulation materials.
• High Hydrophobicity：Aerogel is extremely hydrophobic and impedes moisture absorption. This extends service lifetimes for composite insulation materials, such as aerogel fiberglass composite mats.
• Lower Dosage：Insulation only requires 20~50% thickness for equal performance against traditional materials. Easier to work with and improves personnel accessibility.
• High Versatility：Various form available, depending on application. Can be used as a paste to mix into paints & coatings. Also available in fiberglass composite rolls for easier cutting and fitting.
